In the vast and lush hinterland of the Cinque Terre called Val di Vara, organic farming and breeding are a must, and many local products have found a thriving revival in organic production. Hop cultivation is one of these, carried forward with passion by young enthusiastic local producers. In their very commercial premises, grandparents sold water, wine, and soft drinks and set up the first mashing and fermentation room. Here, workshops, meetings, and activities are also organized to introduce Val di Vara beer, as well as other local specialties from Val di Vara. During the two-hour visit, you will – visit the production facilities; – workshop “Discovering malt and hops”; – tasting of 3 beers with a platter of cured meats and cheeses; – from May to September, visit to the hop cultivation.
