Cinque Terre Guided Trekking

From Levanto to Monterosso

The journey begins in the center of Levanto and ascends along the coast towards the Castle. After passing it, the path quickly rises through typical cultivations and Mediterranean scrub, offering a beautiful view of the magnificent sea of the bay. Upon reaching the road, continue right towards Punta Mesco. Here, the trail is taken, crossing places of incomparable beauty among Mediterranean scrub and cliffs overlooking the sea. Upon reaching a fork, one can proceed to the ruins of the Monastery of Sant’Antonio and the military Lantern, or descend right towards the center of Monterosso. Arriving in Monterosso, we admire the Statue of the Giant, a 14-meter tall Neptune located just steps from the beach of Fegina. A perfect position for a statue that represents the god of the sea, as it literally stands sheer above the water. Climbing along a rocky promontory, it was once part of the luxurious Villa Pastine and was its main decorative feature. In addition to the trident, the deity held a gigantic shell on its head, which served as the terrace.
